Reiki (pronounced ray' key — 'rei' meaning wisdom or higher power and 'ki' meaning life force energy) is an ancient, gentle, hands-on energy healing therapy founded by Japanese monk Mikao Usui. Reiki allows one to connect to the Universal Life Force within us all, awakening one's own inner ability to heal. The name for this life force has had many translations for centuries over many cultures. From Ki in Japanese, Chi or Qi in Chinese, Ka or Sekhem in Egyptian, Prana in Indian Yoga, Holy Ghost or Light in Christian faith, Baraka in Arabic, Barakah in the Islamic religion, or Biofield in Integrative Medicine and Science.
A GUIDED MEDITATIVE PROCESS
We begin with guided breathwork to center yourself and ease you into your experience. My hands are then gently placed on or over you while laying down on a massage table, guiding you through a meditative process. When two energies are connected, their combined energies are greater than their individual energies, allowing you to have a greater connection to the energy within. This guided process can also be an excellent introduction to meditation for those that feel unable to meditate on their own.
THE POWER OF INTENTION
By collectively joining our energies, we enable you to significantly focus your intention inward, increasing your connection to the energies within you. It is this intention that is the key to your connection to Universal Life Force. Intention has been scientifically shown to affect us on a cellular level. Positive intentions affect our cells positively, and negative intentions have adverse effects. By focusing your intention on 'healing,' you are essentially reprogramming your biology to heal yourself. The practice of Reiki with a practitioner aids you in amplifying this connection to Universal Life Force, while enabling you to reduce your stress and anxiety immediately. The lower your stress, the more your immune system activates to heal you on cellular and psychological levels.
Reiki is now being considered an integrative therapy in many major hospitals and institutions, offering patients a method to significantly reduce anxiety, stress and physical pain before and after major surgeries. Reiki can also be part of a routine preventative exercise, offering continued balance and well-being, better preparing you for all of life's challenges. A well-being that enables you to move forward with a greater sense of clarity and purpose. We tend to work out and feed our bodies for optimal health and invigorate our minds for mental stimulation, but seldom do we dedicate the time to strengthen our connecting to our spirit. To take advantage of all that life has to offer, body, mind, and spirit must be balanced for optimal well-being. The more we 'work-out' and connect to our inner Self, the more fluidly we can flow with the nature of life with clarity and peace. Manifesting our desires by spontaneously moving with every feeling. Allowing you create more efficient 'actions' to create the life of your dreams by first connecting to the genuine nature of your Self. Nurture and strengthen the root, and the flower will bloom.

THE SCIENCE OF SOUND
My sound baths utilize sound and vibrational instruments, such as Tibetan Singing Bowls, tuning forks, and Tingsha bells to bring you into a deeply meditative state. All sessions take place while comfortably laying down and the singing bowls and other instruments strategically placed around your head and body, for a fully immersive experience. The sound of each instrument caters to specific frequencies, and when played, bath you in purely resonating sound and vibration, inducing a transformative and profoundly healing experience. Essentially enabling the lowering of your brainwaves into a deeply healing state, accelerating your inward journey, allowing you to delve deep into your unconscious to bring about enlightening insights, clarity, and heightened awareness.
Quantum Physics has shown that we are made up of sound on a pure vibrational and energetic level, layers within the atom itself. The sound and vibration of the Tibetan Singing Bowls have been shown to quickly take you from a busy-minded everyday Beta state (brainwave frequency of 13–30 Hz), into a relaxing Theta sleep state (brainwave frequency of 4–7 Hz), or a deep healing Delta state (brainwave frequency of 0–4 Hz). It's near the lower frequency Theta and Delta states that awaken your immune system to heal on cellular and psychological levels.
